“This is a must for anyone that has water issues in the basement and no back up power source. The pump seemed a little cheap out of the box, being that is is mostly plastic. I don’t think this will effect its longevity. This installs pretty easily. The hardest part is knowing what backflow preventer to install and you definitely need a backflow preventer. The pump’s flow rate is more than adequate. I was not able to use a 3/4†water supply and instead used a 1/2â€. For my application with the city water pressure and about 7 feet to the discharge the 1/2†worked fine.”
