“I went down from an old 3/4 to this 1/2 and I swear it's better. Really smooth, no vibrations, and it's got a thin modern profile that really opened up my undersink space. Installation is standard.”
“This unit works but is not nearly as capable at handling food grinding as our previous larger 1/2 HP garbage disposal. You have to put much smaller food scraps in for it to handle them. It works, but I will be buying a different model when this one goes out on us.”
“I installed this little Moen in our kitchen prep sink about six years ago and it's been a champ doing its job of macerating meal prep scraps. It's a skinny unit and fits well under this smaller sink and cabinet, giving plenty of space for other storage adjacent. The installation isn't unique to other disposals and was easy for my DIY skills. I attached it to a preinstalled AC switched outlet. It has been jammed once or twice due to foreign objects (assumed by our children) and the objects were removed and the unit survived the issue. In comparison to the higher priced In-Sink-Erator units I'm used to, these Moens are a little louder, but any disposal is fairly noisy.”
