“I am on the search for automatic air bleeders that work reliably long-term on my closed hydronic heating system. Taco's Hy-Vent has a good reputation for this application, so I decided to give them a try. I had been using a pair of another brand I'll call "W". They seem to last from only one to three seasons and then they either cease to work at all, or they pass water continuously. I installed a new Hy-Vent in one end of my system and the other brand, we'll call "W", in the other end. At start-up, both bleeders worked in tandem and the air was purged over a short amount of time. And now, time will tell which is a better brand. I'll be back.”
