It’s nice because it uses your water system for a backup instead of batteries.

Installation is straightforward but requires planning. Addresses backup needs without battery maintenance. Satisfied with the product protecting the basement.

was a replacement for a similar model installed about 12 years ago.

This product leaked out of the box where the impeller meets up with the Y connection. I had to re-install this product 3x before I figured out that the leak was coming from the part that was pre-assembled. I took that apart and applied a generous amount of Teflon tape and now it is fine...... but very disappointed that this was overlooked, cost me some $$$.

I ordered from Canada. I got shipping notice and confirmation about the amount which included a line item for Import Fees totalling $49.58 Cdn. I complained and order was retracted. I found out when I tried to track the owner.Nevertheless, I reordered and this time no import fees were added. As a DIY guy, I drew a picture of how to connect to water and drain as a secondary sump pump. With power outages increasing, having a water powered sump pump is mandatory.Included in photos is the pump spy that comes with two back flow valves. I cut one side of the spy pump so things fit better.Photos show Zoeller sump pump mounted vertically. Water input at bottom and water out at top.

A good alternative to expensive automatic backup generators. Recommends for those looking to save costs.

I would suggest a plumber for installation, but but buy it yourself.

This backup pump works great! I selected it based on the reputation of regular Zoeller primary sump pumps.I am not a plumber and spent my time installing it and using shark-bite fittings and valves as I didn’t want to get into soldering connections. I contacted Zoeller afterwards and recommended they specify pipe dope instead of Teflon tape for the screw-type connections and provide more detailed instruction on how to connect the float valve hose connections.
