“I'm very disappointed that I now have had to replace 2 of these cartridges in my daughter's 7 year old house (and no warranty since she is not original owner). I am hoping that the replacements last a lot longer. And do yourself a favor and buy the removal tool - the thing is VERY difficult to remove.”
“Worked well, but it was missing the retaining clip. I opted to comb through the trash for the old one rather than returning this and ordering a replacement. I didn't want to go another day without a shower. Irritating to say the least considering I opted to pay a premium for the original Moen part.”

“We are in a new build community, and everyone I talk to have an 1222b that broke within less than 3 years. It brakes in an open position and there was no way to turn off the water other than having to replace the cartridge. I opened the cartridge and noticed the inside part of the cartridge breaks very easily because it is made out of plastic.There is an 1222 HD version which all the plastic parts have been replaced by metal and it is not much more expensive.”
