I watched a video on youtube on how to remove the old part and install the new one. No leaks and it easier to operate.

It was a real pain getting the old one out but this new one went in fairly easily after being lubed up. Since it's OEM, everything works as it did before.

Sorry certified plumbers, I did this myself with use of the Moen 1222 One-Handle Posi-Temp Faucet Cartridge Replacement. Watch the on-line videos on how to do this yourself and BOOM, saved 500 bucks.

I had a real hard time getting the old cartridge out. If I had to do it again, I would buy the puller that is advertised elsewhere. Once the old cartridge was out, and the fixture cleaned up it went back together easily. The silicon lube was useful to get it back together, it is a tight fit.

This MOEN replacement cartridge fit perfectly and works well. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube on how to remove and replace the cartridge. I couldn't have removed the old cartridge without the Cartridge Removal Tool I also bought on plumbingsupplyandmore. I highly recommend you but the removal tool also.

After accidentally buying a "compatible" cartridge because it was cheaper and wasting a couple hours because it leaked, I purchased this one instead. This one installed more easily and did not leak.Installation was super simple. The hardest part is getting the old cartridge out. For installation, I purchased extra silicone lubricant as it seems like what the give you with the cartridge isn't quite enough and could be easier to apply. What I bought was: https://www.plumbingsupplyandmore.com/gp/product/B000DZFUPC/I applied a generous amount of the silicone and just wiped up the excess that built up on the fixture after sliding in the cartridge with a paper towel.

Tried other brands, didn't work well. Needed to get OEM for the valve to work right.
