“Old shower cartridge was a bear to remove, had to call a resourceful plumber to hae the plastic orignal (20 years old) melted via torch . What a mess,. The new one was installed after the plumber steel epoxied the old brass fixture since it was ptted inside the fitting. He did a great job, new platice MOEN cartridge worked when the Heavy Duty Brass Moen cartridge would not fit properly and leakedafter install. I recommend replacing Moen cartridges periodically to avoid the issues we encountered.”
“Prices have really gone up on these. I am pretty sure if you can wait you can get a new one for free from Moen but you need the serial number off the valve body. I could not wait so paid the price but it is OEM quality.”
