“Purchased this circulating pump after I found out my old pump had been discontinued. It is a direct replacement of the old pump and works well. I am concerned that it may not work as well in a dirty environment as the old one did, but time will tell.”

However, I had the VERY SAD SITUATION in that My older VALLIANT Gas furnace was made to use the OLDER VERSION of THAT EXACT NUMBERED PUMP- The TACO COMPANY moved the electrical connection box FORWARD about a QUARTER OF AN INCH-which made in install VERY DIFFICULT-I had to get a hacksaw- cut some metal off, and re-route wires, get NEW BOLTS (because the old bolts go ruined by my first attempt- I made it work; but if you CHANGE SOMETHING the MODEL NUMBER SHOULD CHANGE TOO!”
