“I recently purchased the Little Giant VCMA-15ULST 115 Volt Condensate Pump for my HVAC system, and it has been a reliable and efficient addition. Here’s my honest review:Pros: 1. Performance: This pump performs exceptionally well in removing condensate from my HVAC system. It operates quietly and efficiently, ensuring that there are no water buildup issues. 2. Build Quality: The construction of the pump is solid, with durable materials that seem built to last. The pump includes a safety switch to prevent overflow, which adds an extra layer of protection. 3. Installation: Installing the pump was straightforward. The included instructions were clear, and the necessary fittings made the process quick and easy. 4. Versatility: This pump is versatile and can be used in a variety of applications, including HVAC systems, dehumidifiers, and other equipment that generates condensate.Cons: 1. Noise Level: While the pump is relatively quiet, it is not completely silent. You can hear it running, especially in a quiet environment, but it’s not overly disruptive. 2. Maintenance: The pump requires occasional maintenance to ensure it continues to operate efficiently. This includes cleaning the reservoir and checking for any clogs in the tubing. 3. Cord Length: The power cord is somewhat short, which might require you to use an extension cord depending on the location of your outlet.Overall:The Little Giant VCMA-15ULST 115 Volt Condensate Pump is a dependable and efficient solution for managing condensate. Its ease of installation, solid build quality, and reliable performance make it a worthwhile investment. While it has a few minor drawbacks, such as noise level and the need for occasional maintenance, the pros far outweigh the cons. I highly recommend this pump for anyone needing a robust and efficient condensate removal solution.I hope this review helps!”
“I had our dehumidifer running to a drain with a standard garden hose but it would get plugged up from time to time. This seemed like a perfect solution to run the output to a sanitary tub instead. Super quick to install, the only issue was that the included tubing was too short for the needed run, so I had to purchase that separately. Perhaps the better option was to buy the pump without tubing...”
“This new pump works great. I use it to evacuate condensate to the washing machine's drain pipe, both central AC condensate and basement dehumidifier condensate, at the same time. When they break: The old, identical pump had failed. Searching online, the failures are tied to the failure of the electrical switch. Not the case for my old pump. The float in my old pump developed micro cracks around the top of the sides, flooded, and then the float would not rise or fall correctly. I drilled out the float, drained the water out of the float, sealed the two drill holes up, including the old micro cracks, with marine sealant. This old pump will become my backup pump in case my new pump ever fails.Slime did build up in the old unit's tank over time, so I will try adding a couple drops of bleach a couple of times per season. I did the original cleanout of the condensate flow lines with a vinegar solution.”
“I purchased this pump to keep on hand in case my current one goes out. It’s been a very humid summer and my AC is working overtime, and so is my 14 year old condensate pump. I won’t have to wait for a AC technician to come out, when the old one gives out.”
