“Bairnsfather's humorous observations from the Great War are suitably reproduced along with some (limited) contextual annotation. One star deducted for the microscopic font size chosen for the introductions. More space could have been provided by removing the five pages of unnecessary 'tribute' cartoons tacked on at the end.”
