“I'm pleased with the PowerBlock. Love that they take up very little space and offer all the weight amounts my husband and I need. It's quick to switch amount of weight however you need to be very careful and double check you've inserted both prongs correctly. I'm not aggressive in my lifting at all but I am apprehensive about how well the prong wil hold especially at the heavier amounts. But that's just me overthinking probably. Design wise, adding a clip to hold the prong ends may not be a bad idea. Some of the balance excercises I do involving transferring dumbbell from one hand to another isn't as smooth as a kettle bell would be but not a huge deal. Don't want a bunch of kettles so PowerBlock will do. And I love they give choices of colors - just a fun perk.”
“Perfect, for now. My wife and I are getting back into fitness. After a 10 year break, we knew she'd have to start small but knew that would grow fast. Adjustable was the way to go.
We studied. Considered all reputable brands up front then started knocking them down with the knit picking. At the end of the day, landed at PowerBlocks.
I was afraid these would be too small for my hands. She was afraid they'd be too big for her to work with. After watching some of the videos on the site, we figured it out. Neither would be a problem. My shoe is bigger than a dumbbell so they're perfect for her and there's room for slop in my grip when I want to keep it loose.
These things are built though too. Though I'll be grabbing a heavier set soon, these will be our go to for light work for a long time.”
“I’m overall very pleased with the ordering process and the dumbbells I received. The only issue I’ve found with them is that it’s difficult to adjust the pins correctly if the weights aren’t on a flat surface, so I can’t use them with the carpeting in my apartment and had to find an alternative.”
