“I have been a long time customer of power blocks. I had the sport 5.5 and now I have moved up to the elite 90s. They seem very well made and durable. The only negative I have to say are the pins that hold weight plates in place is plastic not steel like it use to be. Not sure how the plastic will hold up to years of lifting weights. Other than the pins, I have no complaints, just praise. Powerblocks are by far best adjustable weights.”
“I replaced a standard set of 55lbs adjustable dumbbells with the Powerblock Elite USA 90s as I had outgrown the old set. The design takes a bit of getting used to but once you adapt to it they are great. They are surprisingly balanced even with 1 or both handle weights. The overall footprint is smaller than my old dumbbells which I was surprised about as they look large due to the “blocky” design. The only compromising movement I have found is when performing RDL’s you have to let your arms fall slightly forward as to make room for the cage to pass your knees. This can cause a bit of strain on your form especially if you deal with lower back pain like me. Other than that I have no complaints and would recommend them for most home gym lifters looking to maximize their equipment dollar and save space.”
“PowerBlocks live up to the hype. The color-coded selection is brilliant for quick transitions, and the packaging was robust enough to ensure they arrived in mint condition. 5 stars.”
“I've had the PowerBlock USA Elites for about 3 weeks and love them. I bought them to replace a pair of FitRx adjustable dumbbells that broke because of parts made of plastic. The PowerBlocks are much higher quality and pretty much all-metal, and as a bonus, they are much more compact than the FitRx for the same weight (~50 lbs), which makes them a lot easier to handle.”
“These dumbells are exactly as advertised. They shipped in timely fashion and arrived in great condition. I initially purchased the 70, and immediately upgraded to the 90. Great product!”
“I researched every adjustable dumbbell known to man while waiting for Black Friday deals. I watched every video from every Garage Gym guy on YouTube. I wanted quick change, durability, and a non-round dumbbell that won’t roll away on a garage floor. All the reviews on these talk about the cage. Doesn’t bother me at all. If anything I actually prefer it. If you’re on the fence just go to Dick’s and try the Elite EXP. But I’d go with the Elite USA every time for the metal knurled handle and the fact that they’re USA made. These dumbbells are quick change, durable, non-round, and you won’t have plates falling all over the floor if you change weights without going back to the cradle. Because there is no cradle. They’re also the cheapest of the quick change options. Just get them. Now that I have them I wonder why it took me so long to decide. Awesome product that is time tested.”
