I wish I had bought this years ago. It is surprisingly sturdy and I sieved my compost bin's contents in around a third of the time it usually takes. I had to watch a You Tube video to ensure I put the washers in the right order (thanks to Helen's House and Garden) but otherwise it was easy to put together.

Great product. Just need to reverse nut and bolt fittings for legs at lower level to avoid rotator getting stuck occasionally

Well made, easy to assemble and providing the soil isnt too wet, it works well. I am using it to seive home made compost, and it really does work very well. Are there any plans for a larger version?

We had a a reasonably large 1/4 circle flower bed to fill up and turn in order to plant a new Salix Famingo Williow in. Unfortunately, the flower bed itself had previously had a large amount of golden stone coverage…. At least 10 bags, and over the years the stones of penetrated down into the flower bed itself. All these stones had to be sieved in order for me to take it back ready for planting. I tried a handheld sieve the size of a dustbin lid, but it was just too heavy to lift and shake. So I went back to the drawing board and invested in one of these Clarke Sieves. It was very easy to put together and I was very surprised by its sturdiness and quality. The drum itself is a lot smaller than the dustbin lid size handheld sieve we had, the use of a handle and it being firmly planted on the floor on legs made it a doddle to use. It was a little disappointing that the black plastic ball knob on the handle did not swivel, as it meant it would leave bare hands with blisters after five or 10 minutes work, so a good pair of gardening gloves are essential when using. The other slight annoying feature is that if you have a drum that is full of stones at the end of the sieving, then it becomes a bit cumbersome to empty the stones from the drum. The spindle and handle will detach from the base when you turn the sieve upside down, but that’s a very minor detail. This thing made simple work of the task and I was able to sieve a large amount of earth in a very short time. Backbreaking work though ! For the cost, this is a gardener’s dream and will make light work of keeping flowerbeds and borders stone and weed free.

Easy to put together, sturdy, only used once so far but made sifting some slightly damp compost from the compost bin a much easier job than manually sieving. Really pleased so far.
