“Arrived promptly, on unpacking I noted that the cable strain relief was snapped clean off (due to the machine being packed in a manner where the relief was sitting on the bottom of the box and subject to mechanical shock each time the box would have been put down) On plugging the machine in, it failed to work! I immediately contacted Power Tools who apologised and arranged collection of the machine by Machine Mart for examination. The same machine arrived back yesterday, working but with the same broken cable strain relief. (Now repaired with Araldite) Alls well now after a shaky first experience.”

“Customer Service from this Company is absolutely excellent!! Thanks Gosia. However, I had two of these delivered. The first was replaced and the second was refused at the door. The problem was the same for both deliveries. The initial reason being that both boxes were damaged at exactly the same location, at the point of the mains lead housing. The cardboard and internal polystyrene were both split. The hard plastic mains lead housing at the back were cracked, split and loose from the buffer casing. I decided not to give them a third chance and asked for a refund , which I spent at another local tool store. My new Buffer was fitted with a hard rubber mains lead housing which was more giving. Perhaps the first two were older stock with a problem which has since been rectified by Clarke tools. So in summary, it was both dubious handling by the couriers or even Power Tools Direct, As well as, below average stock rotation in the store. Either way, it wasn't worth the £20 saving that I initially received.”
