“You can remove staples with almost anything ... well, it isn't till you spend a modest few quid on a specialist tool that you realise how much simpler, easier and cleaner it makes the job ; for example, I've just been removing staples driven through a thick underlay; the tip of the tool gets beneath the bar of the staple, it lifts it out cleanly, and is designed to hold the staple until you dispose of it. As always, having the tool for the job, even a small-scale job, makes a great deal of difference - should have got one of these years ago.”
