“Good screws at a good price, that do what they're supposed to. I bought 2 boxes of these to lay 20mm engineered oak flooring directly to joists. They are nice and sharp with a cutting tip and smooth shank, so no need to pre drill when using at an angle in the tongue. I also glued the boards to the joists to prevent any creaks, so I can't really comment on how silent these are in the long term, but they did a good job of pulling the boards down tight onto the glued joist. I did also borrowed some joist clamps, which with these screws and the glue made for an almost perfect job. Though at the perimeter of the room, where I was going through the full depth of the board (including the oak) they did have a tendency to split the oak (perhaps 25% of the time) I should have pre drilled these, but couldn't be bothered as everything was glued anyway, and the skirting will cover it. My only complaint is the free torx bit they give is too short and stubby, and would damage the edge of the boards when used. The bit I had in my set worked much better (probably not an issue with thinner boards) Would definitely use again”
