Excellent value for money. The extra anchor is great to put in another family members car as I already have one. This was my reason to purchase. Am moving on to this when my baby moves from her gemm car seat, so I will take out the insert. Easy straps to fasten and release if you are used to joie products.

This product has a quality look and feel, it appears to be solid and safe. The big drawback is that it does not work for us as a rear facing seat. The support bar that keeps the seat pressed down into the car is not secured (this is apparently for safety reasons, it needs to be able to be released easily); which means our child is able to push the bar out out of the support slot - this creates a projectile risk, and is means the seat is no longer securely located. After contacting Joie support the only suggestion they had was to return the seat. Living where we do this is an expensive exercise so we now use the seat forward facing in the second car which the child is rarely in. We have kept the current rear facing seat (non-ISOFIX) in the main car and will use it until our child is 2. Our main reason for choosing this seat was the rear-facing until 18kg ability. As a result of it failing meet this claim safely I have had to rate it poorly. As a forward facing seat I have no issues and would recommend it.

This is a great budget option for anyone looking to keep their child rear facing after they outgrow the infant seat. It is very similar to the Joie Stages (belted version without a base), but the cushion inserts are slightly different, and the mechanism which raises or lowers the headrest is a touch more fiddly to operate in this seat compared to the Stages. I'll be completely honest and say that this wouldn't have been my first choice of seat if our economy wasn't as tight as it is, as I don't think it's up there with the seats commonly used in Scandinavia, but this is a good option in this price range, and a steal if you can get the base included for free.

The seat is substantial, secure and very easy to fit. However, we bought it for our 9 month granddaughter and there are 2 immediate issues I have come across. 1. the tilt facility is still very upright so that when she sleeps in the car ( which they do frequently at her age) her head lolls forward and then snaps back if I brake, for example. 2. The straps are really awkward to extract from under the baby when you are trying to put the child in the seat, particularly the strap that comes up between their legs as it is short and cannot be flopped out. Frustrating! My daughter paid more for one that swivels and if I was looking for a seat to be used daily, I would advise looking for a model that does this.

Easy to fit although feel it rattles a bit when grandson not in it although all indicators suggest correctly fitted. Otherwise pleased with purchase.

Bought this as a second car seat as I already have 1 Joie I anchor. Brilliant build quality. This brown version deosn't come with the wedge insert so you can either take the cushion out of the back or contact joie and they will send you one from free. This is only needed when you take the newborn insert out to stop their head lolling forward, Robust, light weight and easy to fit. Can be used with or without isofix which was ideal for using in our older car that doesn't have isofix points. Would highly recommend this car seat.

We have two grandchildren and this is ideal for both children. It is great value for money and we feel much happier now that we also have an isofix base which is quick and convenient to use.

We are grandparents and have not used the car seat yet. However, we checked it over and can see that if you have the ISO points in your car, this is a very easy seat to take in and out, which is ideal for us. It's also going to be easy to recline without disturbance if the child wants to sleep.
