“No idea isn’t useable”

“The machine kept flashing up a message to replace the drum unit (original), which I ignored for a long time. In the end, despite replacing the cartridge, copies became too faint. With this compatible unit, copies were darker and clearer, but spots and smears appear which didn't before, although it's the same cartridge. So it's enough of an improvement to be usable, but not very satisfactory. However, I can't say for sure whether the moderate quality is due to the drum unit or the printer or the compatible cartridge. Frankly, all three were fairly cheap, so I am not entitled to high expectations, I suppose.”
