Hard Night Guard - Heavy Grinding Reviews

4.8 Rating 182 Reviews
I was pleasantly surprised with how easy and inexpensive it was for me to get a quality night guard. My dentist quoted over $300. I ordered the hard night guard for heavy grinding. My previous night guard lasted a few years, but was much flimsier than the one I just received. The fit and finish of the new night guard was excellent. Absolutely no reason to send back for an adjustment. For this product, it's very important to heat it up under a hot running tap for 30-40 seconds. That softens the material "just enough" to allow it to conform to your mouth/teeth better. I can confirm this step works because I tried it on "out of the box" and thought "this thing is putting too much pressure on my teeth". A quick read of the directions (and following them) resolved the problem. Very happy with the product, the pricing AND the responsiveness of their customer service team.

I broke my dentist-bought night guard just before departing for the summer. A friend recommended ProTeethguard, and I had my doubts, but went ahead as I didn't have another option in my summer area. I needed to take 3 impressions of the upper teeth, and not once did I sense any frustration with me. When I received the guard, it fit the teeth perfectly, but had a bit too much on the underside. Using their very simple method of telling the tech exactly what the problem was, I sent the guard back, they made the adjustment, and it is now perfect. All for less than half the cost of what I would have paid at the dentist. They have a very efficient system and a high quality product. I will definitely return for the next one, and I will probably order a second one soon so that my impressions can be used again. I recommend ProTeethGuard to anyone. The quality and service is fantastic!

I have been a big grinder for years and got to the point where I needed to get a new mouthguard. I always thought that getting it through the dentist was exorbitantly expensive and stumbled upon ProTeeth Guard in a Google search. My mouth is a bit tough to fit (really uneven bite and all four wisdom teeth) so it took a couple of tries. But the final product came out great. The customer support/service is excellent as well!

I bought this and it took me 3 times to make mold. It's easy, I don't know why I messed up. I'm sure others can do in one try. It came nicely made, but I couldn't get used to it. I wanted to return, but they offered to fix. It came back less bulky and after 2 weeks I got used to it. They will answer yr questions fast and help u all the way. I recommend people do online and not at dentist for double the price or more. It's the same thing.

I've had my nightguard for a few months now and I've noticed a few issues. The first and most important is that the grooves for my bottom teeth were not fitted correctly for my bite and they make the guard much thinner than my old acrylic guard which came with no bottom grooves. As a result I have been chewing though this one very quickly. I have had it for three months and I'll be surprised if it makes another three. (As a comparison, I had my old nightguard for two years before it cracked.) The second, less important complaint is that the inner part of the guard does not stand up to frequent brushing. I prefer to brush my guard with my toothbrush once a day but had to stop after I noticed that the inner part of the guard was getting damaged. Apart from those issues it's a good nightguard for the price but maybe more suited to moderate grinders. If they got rid of the bottom grooves I think it would be very good.

Being a heavy grinder I needed the heavy duty guard. I had tried a softer one from another supplier which worked for a while but noticed I was starting to get headaches. Tried Pro Teeth Guard this time and was very happy. Instructions easy to follow and it's great that they include an extra set of "putty" for teeth impression. This made me less nervous about taking the impressions. Another company I ordered from made it more complicated to get extra "putty" if needed. Guard had a sort of nasty chemical taste when I first used it but the Customer Service was very helpful when I called them. The taste disappeared within a week probably. Good product overall.
