PureSleep Anti-Snoring Dental Device English Reviews

4.5 Rating 1,059 Reviews
I have been using the puresleep product since it was first introduced many years ago. It remains the most logical choice in anti-snore appliances once a thorough analysis of similar products is conducted. The product has been revised in packaging, instructions, and principle operation over the years. I am not sure the original founders even own the company anymore. Below are lessons learned by the author....... Be very careful and read the instructions thoroughly! The product works and is 80% effective. Nothing is 100% perfect. Preparation is critical and a bit time consuming. It's best to have a mirror you can place upright on your kitchen counter for the fitting process. (to look into while fitting.) BEWARE: Make a note of the top from bottom of the appliance prior to boiling in water. If you fit it upside down by accident, consider it scrap. Use the mirror I suggested to fit the appliance into your mouth. Perform a 'dry run' prior to boiling the appliance. Once fitted and cooled you will need some final trimming. Use a good quality side cutting device, such as a small set of precision wire cutters. Once you trim off the excess LIGHTLY SAND any trim edges with 220 fine emery cloth type sandpaper. The inside of your mouth will appreciate this added step not mentioned in the instructions. Rinse the product well and refit into your mouth. Run your tongue around the inside for sharp edges or excess material. Repeat trimming and sanding as necessary. After you clean it every morning let it air dry outside of its container. If you do not allow it to air dry completely, the device will start to get funky with mold which becomes integral with the plastic. Once this happens the device is scrap. Don't expect any more than 6 months life if used every day. PureSleep offers a 'two for' sale ever so often.

I couldn't tolerate the CPAP machine my Health Insurance approved for my Sleep Apnea. My wife first ordered me this Pure Sleep product about 8 years ago but I didn't use it. A few years ago, I became a widower. About 11 months ago, I remarried, and my loud snoring was again an issue. Then I remembered I still had the PureSleep product. It took a bit of getting used to, but after a week, both my new wife and I were able to sleep all night. I recently ordered a second device from PureSleep, due to discoloration and the potential for my bite/teeth to shift following dental work. As I was reading the Instructions, I found that all my minor discomforts were addressed by the company along with instructions on how to mitigate them. Aside from these, I most highly recommend this product for curing lack of sleep caused by loud snorers.

Ordering was easy online, got a deep discount after seeing ad on TV. Great price, 1/2 to 1/3 that of competing devices. Shipped and arrived promptly. Fitting and use instructions were easy and clear. Materials quality appears good. I've been using for a week, and wife says device is effective, I no longer snore. Similar to wearing an upper and lower athletic mouthguard, but slightly harder material and device doesn't go as far back into mouth. I really sank my teeth into device when molding it, so it seats deeply, and one needs to be careful when removing, because it clings to teeth, and opening mouth to remove can start to pull halves apart. I have what is described as a normal bite, and it works for me. Can't speak to folks with an underbite, etc. Device will work if you sleep on your back, but then your bottom teeth are carrying full weigth of lower jaw, keeping it forward, and they may be a bit sore in the morning at first. No such issue if you sleep on your side. It was easier to sleep with the device in than I thought / feared it would be, but it does take a little getting used to. Device has never dislodged while sleeping, so no safety concerns. Obviously I wish it could be even more comfortable, thinner, but I understand the structure must be there to do the intended job. This device is worth your investment to try it.
