“It was a shame I had to return these shoes. The quality and focus was what I was looking for but the fit was not quite right. I had quick clear communication with the company and was treated very well. I’ll keep my eyes open for the release of a true wide fitting model.”
“I have a pair of the original Gran Tourer that I have been wearing for the last 3 or 4 years in basically every situation. I jumped at the chance to grab a pair of the new version when it was noted that it had a stiffer sole and the dial system. I use the gran tourer commuting and take them on and off throughout the day. The dial system is so much easier than the laces, the fit is pretty much the same as the old version, it looks great and is still super walkable. I use SPD on all my bikes from road to mountain to single speed and I use this shoe as my go to in all of those situations and I feel it performs really well. I would never go back to a road cleat and am looking forward to bikepacking in these in a few months time. The only downside is it seems like the top of the shoe tightens down more then the toe of the shoe. That may be just the way my foot is shaped but I feel like i'd like to have the toe portion of the shoe tighter while keeping the part closer to my ankle looser which isn't really possible with the one dial system. Might just take some getting used to but you can definitely overtighten and cause some discomfort.”
