“When walking around, I can just barely hear & feel my SPD cleat hitting and scraping the ground, so I'm unwilling to walk with the shoes over nice floors - regardless, I love the shoe!”
“Quoc has hands down the most stylish commuting shoes. I wear these every time I'm going somewhere by bike (rather than going out just for a ride). Super comfortable too!”
“I love the style, but don’t be mistaken-these are stiff purposeful cycling shoes! Usual Quoc quality and an extra set of laces. The style fits my Brompton perfectly.
You may want to consider ordering a half size up as mine were just a little small.”
“There's not many stylish/casual clipless shoes on the market; in both comfort and looks, these are the closest thing to actual trainers you're likely to find. They're perhaps slightly blockier than normal trainers, but that's to be expected given the extra stability needed for cycling.
These are perfect for cycling into town for a drink or shopping. Saves me from having to change out of my uglier and clunkier road cycling shoes - or worse, clunk and teeter around town in said shoes. They're easy to wipe down if you do encounter any mud on your way - though bike oil can be tougher to deal with (when is it not?!)
My more-fashion conscious partner thinks they'd be improved by a little bit of coloured detailing around the rear and side of the shoe, but in my opinion there's a very fine line between tasteful detailing and garish design - so am very content that these shoes err on the safer/plainer side!
They were slightly too large (although because of my very wide clown feet, the next size down would have been too narrow). Nothing an extra insole can't solve - this makes them slightly less breathable so would avoid longer cycles in them (but that's not really what they're designed for anyway).
Overall, very impressed. Hopefully they'll last a couple of years (at least) and then would definitely consider buying a new pair.”
“The style and use of these shoes fill a big whole in the market for shoes that can be used on and off the bike, so props to Quoc for that, but I was disappointed in the fit of the shoe. My toes were crammed in the end yet my heel easily slipped out with every step that I took. Small on one end and big on the other. They were also very stiff for use off the bike. They were definitely well made and stylish, but they did not jive with my feet.”
“I have been searching for this exact shoe for years. A stylish but neutral shoe with bolts for clipless pedals that can be worn during the commute, at work, and when running errands or going to the bar.
I've looked at the Giro Rumble, Chrome Truk shoes, and a whole host of mountain bike shoes. There seem to be only two types of casual clipless shoes - bike shoes that look marginally more street-ready, or 2003-style skate shoes with a massive insole hiding two bolts.
Then came the Weekend.
It took 6 months for the shoes to come because of the US-China trade war, then holiday customs backlogs, then tariff issues on import. I would do it all again.
The pictures do a great job of showing off the shoes, and they delivered aesthetically as I expected. It's just a great design. But what blew me away were the other design decisions that completely solved a really tough challenge of creating a stiff but comfortable shoe that works on and off the bike. The shoes basically wrap around the heel like a glove, providing a snug but comfortable fit. The elastic laces reinforce that fit on the front. The cleat is sufficiently deep in the sole so that ground contact is almost neglible when walking except on the most uneven of surfaces. The sole is stiff but the springy foam completely negates it when walking. When riding, the cleat bypasses the springy foam section for really great power transfer.
I ride a track bike in the city, so foot retention is extremely important. These shoes feel extremely secure when backpedaling, and the ability to keep spds on all my bikes is a huge win.
I cannot recommend these shoes enough.”
“I’m pretty new to clipless shoes but these are very comfortable on and off the bike. The elasticy laces make it easy to take them on and off but I did switch to the regular laces. Great shoes.”
“I ordered from Japan and it arrived in 4 days
Arrival was very early and I was surprised.
Buy size 42
Actual length of my foot is 26.3 cm
Wide is 9.5 cm
Just the right size.
The weight is lighter than it looks, and the shoe lace stretches so it's easy to put on and take off, but if you don't tighten it that much, it will slip off when walking
The color is CR. It looks cool, the cream upper, a little pinkish outsole, and the matching reflective toe.
Casual and a great companion for commuting.”
