“Can exploded.
There was a little left in the can so I placed it in the shade and it was not hot Sunday Well,,,, The can actually exploded the top off. Thank god my kids or dog were not near it at the time or in my house. No where on the can does it warn of possibly doing this.
This could have been much worse See attached photo.
The product did work very well on the mural on my house went on easy, directions on can were clear on mixing product and application was easy”

Based on your description, it appears the can still contained mixed material when it was set aside. MuralGuard is a reactive two‑component polyurethane, and once Parts A and B are combined, the product begins to cure immediately. As it cures, it can generate internal pressure, which is why the label includes the instruction:
“Do not re‑seal mixed product.”
Even when placed in the shade, a closed or tightly covered container with mixed material can continue to build pressure until the lid is forced off. We understand how easy it is to set the can aside after finishing the project without realizing the reaction is still active.
