“I don't know how much there is to say about a brew mat, functionally it doesn't do much. What it does do is enable other options for brewing coffee besides the carafe. In this case it allowed me to use a pour-over dripper to brew directly into my stainless steel thermal mug. This nicely solved the issue of the coffee cooling down when brewed into the glass carafe, and is much more convenient than pouring from the carafe into a ceramic mug and then nuking the mug to heat the coffee back up. So this was very much a worthwhile purchase.”

“I ordered the Ratio 6 bundle, which includes the Ratio 8 S2 basket which is stainless steel. This mat is necessary to raise the carafe a bit - I have had no problems at all. It is not a perfect match to the 6, but I knew that from the product’s clear description. I am still moving back and forth between the mat use, and not, and I am happy either way. Such a great product.”
