“The original filters that came with the purchase of my Chemex Eight were perfect. These seem to be smaller and of a lower quality. Coffee overflows out of the filter and down the outside of the carafe as it is brewing, every single time. I reached out to customer service, and I haven’t received a response yet.”
“This product is meant for the kind of machine where the grinds sit so close to the spout. I have the Ratio Eightz and the non-cut, fully square version does fit but the paper pushes up against the spout bar.
This version of the filters is perfect in this case.”
“This may be more of an issue with the Ratio 8, I do not know yet. But, if brewing a full carafe the coffee will overflow the carafe and make a huge mess. I am not sure if this is a result of the filter being too thick or the full flow rate being to high. Either way the recommended combination of a ratio 8 and Cheney filter results in a lot of coffee on the countertop.”
