We're glad you like the carafe, Alan! We find that Borosilicate glass can be sturdier than other forms of glass, or even crystal, but it can still break if it experiences a shock. We've put a silicone layer on the bottom to insulate it against everyday bumps, and designed it to be beautiful enough to fit right in on display with your wine glasses if it needs a bit of extra protection.
