“I usually make the coffee early in the morning, about 1 to 2 hours ahead of my wife having her first cup. By preheating the Thermal Carafe with hot tap water, the coffee stays hot enough for her to enjoy when she gets up. For smaller brew batches i've been using the standard glass carafe.”
“The carafe is very heavy, weighing 4lbs 5oz. I also don't care for the rubber or silicone lid that pulls out abruptly and would prefer a lid that rotated. It does a pretty job of keeping the coffee warm bit no more so than my Brod and Taylor carafe.”
