“The Able Filter is a high quality filter that does it's job admirably and is highly recommended. I find the taste of the coffee a tad improved over the white Chemex Filters even after rinsing.
The only caveat is you need a coarse grind, very coarse and that's why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. I have a Vario-W Grinder with Stainless Burrs and even at the max coarse setting and even detuned to grind even coarser it is insufficient if you make a full or over half pot of coffee. About half a pot or less I can do but more than that I use the Chemex Paper or I can use my hand grinder to make a really coarse grind.
What happens if I try a full pot with the Able? It overflows.”
