“We have an HI 2450 fireplace insert, which replaced a freestanding woodstove. We had wanted another woodstove, with low emissions and higher efficiency, but it turned out that our fireplace opening wouldn't fit any of the stoves we liked. This insert sticks out a little in a way that's reminiscent of the woodstove, and will fit my little piezoelectric fan on top, so along with the blower it should move the heat around the room easily. It's really beautiful and not only looks better than the woodstove but gives us space back in the room. My main reason for switching was that I didn't want to pour smoke into the air every time I used it for some heat, so I am happy with the low emissions. This was not cheap but the installation process was seamless, our sellers and installers were stellar, and overall this was a great experience. I look forward to enjoying the insert for the rest of the time we live in this house.”
