“Big and ungainly but does the job. What was not clear from any of the reviews is for it to clear the side of your car/van/poptop caravan when winding down it needs to be installed on your roof overhanging the side by in my case 15cm. Has lots of flex when winding up but locks in rigidly when wound in on the roof. Also if using the full size of the rack can interfere with windup arm. Note the channel fits the smaller m6 slots not the m8. All that said I would buy again as nothing else on the market that does this.”
