Blackout Roller Blinds are the perfect choice if you would like to prevent light from entering the room. 
There are runners at the sides of the blinds enabling you to adjust the blind in the position you would like it to sit. With this in mind it gives the room a complete blackout therefore also giving partial protection from solar heat.

I recently purchased a single roof blind to add to the sky light we had installed 10 years ago in a room we now use extensively for working from home. The order was relatively straight forward and the questions I had was answered cheerfully and without issue, so I submitted my order online. I rang to find out the approx delivery time as the website said it could be delayed because of Covid. They assured me that in fact the blind was in stock and I would have it shortly. I received a delivery notice and I was expecting it on the following Wednesday. I had added a delivery note that if out to leave in our front garden shed, as per all deliveries we have unless states signed for etc. Sadly on the scheduled delivery date we had an emergency trip to our vets, but I paid no mind as I had entered the delivery instructions in the online delivery form at purchase. However, it did not arrive. I called on theThursday to be told by the manager that it would be delivered on the Friday. No delivery, so I called last thing on the Friday. They said it would probably be there on the Saturday but couldn’t get hold of their delivery people. They were very apologetic. The weekend came & went and still no delivery. I called again at the start of the week and they still couldn’t get hold of the delivery people but assured me it was en route. It arrived the next Wednesday. Ordinarily I probably wouldn’t have minded but I’ve been getting headaches from the sun on my screens on my desk in the afternoon, so the delivery time was important to me. The blind is installed easily enough and it operates well. The product is good. The post sales service left a lot to be desired. Covid or no Covid!

This order was to replace a blind that had broken. It had been installed for about 17 years. As this is one of six blinds on roof windows I wanted it to match. I called Facro technical and Tracy helped me find the size and colour on the old blind. She also told me that there was one in stock and if I was quick she could keep an eye out to ensure that I got it. I placed the order and it arrived within two days. The design has changed over 17 years and the new blind was slightly easier to install than the old one. I thought I might get away with reusing the fixings from the old blind but the slight design changes meant out with the old and in with the new. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Surprisingly easy to fit and works well. Doesn't need the spring clips on the lower end, in fact one has broken so removed them from both sides.

The quality of this product on delivery was very poor, The box was damaged & had been resealed. When opened, both metal runners were bent & damaged so we used the runners from the blind we were replacing. There were no screws to fit the blind, so again we had to use the ones on the existing blind. There were also no plastic clips to attach the blind to the window so AGAIN used the ones from the existing blind. It’s fortunate our old blind’s cords broke & we could use it for spare parts, it would have been a disaster as a first time purchase. I was going to order the blind from Blinds2go (I get all my other blinds from them) but thought using a Fakro approved dealer would be better but I will never make that mistake again.
