I drilled pilot holes for the screws to avoid splits.
Assembly instruction were clear, although I decided it would be easier to make up the top of the arch on a bench and then place it on the uprights which had been concreted in first.

The Cherington Arch does look nice, however it was only when our joiner was about to Install it that he pointed out that one side of the arch leg was twisted. Had we not used a professional, it would have been very difficult for us to put the arch together and would have had to return the Cherington Arch.
We were probably just unlucky and the reason for a 4 star rating.”
