“Not very happy with the condition of the product when it arrived.A number of screws holding the seat together were sheared off and many were rusty.Poor quality in my opinion”
“There is nothing wrong with the product, but your customer services is appalling. The first shed I received was the wrong size. Ordered in time for Easter weekend. So I waited until the Tuesday to report that it was a 4 x 4 and not a 6 x 4. The gentleman on the phone tried to convince me that it was the wrong instructions. I told him the base was 4 x 4 and it only had 3 sides. The 4th side being mainly a door. He still didn’t believe me. Requested photos, which I sent while on the phone. One picture had a part number. He went away and a colleague told him it was indeed the wrong size. I waited another week for the right 6x4. Now I might be a woman, but I am not stupid and quite capable of putting a 6x4 shed together on my own. To be told I was wrong several times and having to prove by photos is outrageous. I even offered to buy the shed to save shipping costs and having 2 sheds, but that was too much hassle for him. I wouldn’t buy again because of this, but the product was ok, although the struts and roof could be thicker wood, and I reinforced the floor.”
“The garden box bench is exactly what we expected. It looks nice and is comfortable to sit on. We had some difficulty fitting the screws into the pre-drilled holes on the rattan back of the bench. The rattan partly covered the holes and because it was very hard and tight, it was very difficult to ease the screws into.”
“Fits well,disappointed as we were hanging it as about 30cm of stitching was missing but didn't want to take the awning down to return hoping it won't get any worse it wasn't cheap either.”
“I bought 2 Kashmir arbour seats. The design is great and they're good to look at but i had to buy extra timber to reinforce the seats. They were really flimsy and bowed uncomfortably when even the lightest person sat on them. Given that they look really nice, the extra effort and expense it took to make them fit for purpose was disappointing.”
“Excellent bench. My only beef is that it arrived broken. The packaging was very flimsy, and the seat of the bench had been badly damaged by other parts bumping against it inside the box.
Rowlinson were very responsive and replaced the part within 72 hours.”
“Delivered in good time. All components present and correct. I found the pictorial instructions a little difficult to follow, but this became better as construction got under way.
I have had to pause construction, butit's all looking good.”
“I'm happy with the product once assembled and it is working well and doing exactly the job I expected. However the assembly instructions could have been clearer and one of the large number of screws was missing and I had to find a replacement. Not a huge deal but I think you should as standard provide a few surplus screws of each length as they are easy to lose and some are naturally substandard.”

“This will be my second time of using a Rowlinson octagonal summer house as a skeleton for my project. Upgrading the roof with cedar shingles, lead flashing and insulation, plasterwork, power and decoration etc creates an excellent result. Of course I spend 3-4x on additional materials, but I am looking forward to th results... here's my 1st attempt and a plan for the currrent 2nd attempt...”

“Overlap Patio Chest Code: OVLCHEST
This was ordered on 21 March ’25 and delivered on 25 March, in one flat pack. The pack contained 13 components and a bag of fixings – all present! - and the assembly instructions. These included the advice that no less than two people should assemble it. I was the sole assembler; it was not difficult. The instructions were excellent, with diagrams and precise details in words. A small problem was that the two side panels did not butt perfectly with the front and back panels – I had to trim off ~1mm from the end grain of one or two overlap boards, using a small plane. With the roof-felted lid, the chest looks smart enough to sit on a patio. We have not yet put anything in it – that might be a logistical packing teaser!”

“Pleased with the ordering and delivery processes. We definitely needed two people to put it together. Two pieces of wood split during assembly; we had to put an extra screw in to secure it.
