“Pales were delivered in double quick time. I is still very dense with sap and is quite heavy. When inserting screws a few droplets of moisture occasionally appear adjacent to screw. A few cracks have appeared along the grain and a few pales have subsequently warped slightly although no cracks or warping was visible when delivered. This all seems normal, however. The old fence was constructed with dried wood and that went rotten very quickly. I will need to wait a good few years to see how this fence copes with the weather with 3 coats of fence paint.”
