“I'm 165cm tall and I would say I have average shoulder width and part of the reason I chose this bag was because it looked like a nice size for my back, and it is. But the problem is that the shoulder straps just don't wanna stay on which was not something I saw mention in any review. It keeps wanting to slide outwards and fall off my shoulders. I can't have my back remotely straight without the straps wanting to come off, when not using the sternum strap. The more I straighten my back the more the straps want to slide off. I have to constantly slouch my shoulders forward for it to stay on or use the sternum strap. Even with the bag straps tightened, it still feels like it wants to come off. Using the sternum strap makes it feel a lot nicer but I don't wanna use it all the time. The straps are also quite thick in both directions for a bag this small.
I have some other complaints about the bag too, like:
- magnetic sternum strap connects sometimes when you have the bag off you so you have to unclasp it which can get annoying
- the zips don't feel as smooth as they should, even though they are YKK
- wish there was some organisation in the front access pocket, otherwise everything just goes to the bottom which makes it harder to effectively use the small bag volume
I didn't return it because the bag is nice and got it to replace work backpack and fits everything I need. Fits 500ml wide mouth Nalgene in both the outside and inside pockets perfectly, and for the shoulder strap problem, I just have to either use the sternum strap or slouch my shoulders forward.”
