SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. “Not loving router. It's the only thing that can detact the camera. It doesn't have wifi, can't update anything without switching over the the house wifi which sets off the alarm on the camera. The I-pad's battery drains fairly quickly, learned that the first night, it was shut down by morning, must stay plugged in all night. Once I get the kinks worked out, like figuring out the boarder so my cats don't set off false alarms, I'm sure I'll get more comfortable with it.”

“We were able to get the SAMi bundle through the Danny Did Foundation. The camera has been able to provide so much peace of mind for us at night, and has helped us monitor our little one for any seizures or seizure like activity. It’s been a huge blessing for us!”

“This monitoring device has given me and my daughter peace of mind and allows her to sleep without worrying about SUDEP. My daughter was diagnosed 1 month ago after 2 tonic clonic seizures, an MRI, an CT Scan and an EEG. What worried her the absolute most was that she had known a classmate in kindergarten that died from SUDEP. She stopped sleeping regularly after the diagnosis, which was scary because we were concerned about her having more seizures. Once we got the monitor she started sleeping, and so did we.”
