SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. SAMi will not only reliably alert you to abnormal movement, but automatically records high quality video and audio of the event, providing invaluable video evidence for Neurologists, Epileptologists, and other Healthcare providers to accurately diagnose and prescribe effective treatment plans. “This camera hands down is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! My daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy at 14 months old. My world was turned upside down and I was so afraid to not be in the same room when she napped because that's when her seizures we're happening. Then we found the SAMi. It is truly worth every penny! This camera alerts us when there is possible seizure activity or when there is a lot of motion. In fact one night around 11pm the camera alerted us that my daughter was having a seizure and we were able to help her and also later show the neurologist the recording. Unfortunately she has several different types of seizures but everytime she has a seizure she is looking to the right so we know the seizure is starting from the left side of her brain. The picture quality is phenomenal you are able to zoom in and out and all the settings are easy to adjust to what you feel is necessary as far volume, and sensitivity. This camera has given us greater piece of mind when my daughter is sleeping in the crib. We have also traveled with this camera on overnight trips. It is straight forward and simple to set up. And I seriously can't imagine what I would do without this camera! I HIGHLY recommend this camera!!!!!”

“We’ve had it for almost a month and the amount of ease I feel using it knowing I can get a restful night without having to check on my 4 year old every 20 minutes is game changing. The ability to change the motion detection and alarming to what I need and then being able to check recording as well as share them with the neurologist has been amazing. 10/10 recommend!”

“Some kinks to work out, such as clarity of instructions (ie, the differences in camera vs app settings when similar setting terms are used--thus initial set up can be very confusing). However, the clarity of the picture is awesome, and the app pics up even small, short movements. Also, in your diagnostic categories listed below, you need to add brain injury/tumor to the list.”

“The Sami has given us the peace we need. Our son has nocturnal grand mal seizures. We have been “halfway” sleeping since he was 9 months he’s now 15 and he’s prone to SUDEP. We can now rest knowing Sami will let us know when to run to his aid! The best device for epilepsy hands down!!! 💜”

“Loves- great setupwhen directly connecting the cable to the orbi router. Not great when using wifi, kept dropping even with a very strong signal. Purchased camera only. I wish though that you could provde some visual analytics and summaries- number of movement events per night, minutes of uninterrupted sleep, etc. Simple metrics that plot and track trends over time. not hard to build and surprised that there are no analytics as part of the purchase.”

“SAMi saved my daughter’s life. My two year old has febrile seizures. The seizure before we had SAMi we saw her seizing in her bed late into the night, it was pure luck that we saw it. We switched to SAMi and last night we were alerted that there was movement. Sure enough she was having a seizure. We were able to get to our daughter in time to roll her over before she started vomiting. It was helpful to show the doctors what the seizure looked like when it started and it helped us see how long the seizure was before we entered her room. I 1000% recommend this device!! Thank you SAMi for creating this technology so we can hold our daughter another day.”

“I wish the camera show all though the house cause my daughter seizure come out from nowhere. When she has one she falls to the floor if she is standing up. She like to move around the house so I have to follow her around so she won’t hurt herself in the house .”

“The night vision capability is excellent and sees very well in the dark.However, the motion detection algorithms need significant improvement.Currently, the camera cannot differentiate between a pillowcase flapping from a fan and my child having a medical seizure.Additionally, our dog sleeps in the room, and normal pet movement frequently triggers false alarms.Finally, the included mounting bracket lacks the flexibility needed for proper positioning.I am currently forced to design my own mounting system to get the angle I need.Furthermore, the initial setup process was incredibly frustrating. The website instructions were lacking, and the official YouTube videos were not helpful. I wasted far too much time troubleshooting until I eventually abandoned your materials and used an AI assistant to walk me through the setup step-by-step. Once I used AI, it was fast, but the official setup experience was completely unacceptable. Enhanced AI detection for medical movements, a more adjustable mount, and clearer setup instructions would greatly improve this product.”
