SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. SAMi will not only reliably alert you to abnormal movement, but automatically records high quality video and audio of the event, providing invaluable video evidence for Neurologists, Epileptologists, and other Healthcare providers to accurately diagnose and prescribe effective treatment plans. “This camera hands down is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! My daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy at 14 months old. My world was turned upside down and I was so afraid to not be in the same room when she napped because that's when her seizures we're happening. Then we found the SAMi. It is truly worth every penny! This camera alerts us when there is possible seizure activity or when there is a lot of motion. In fact one night around 11pm the camera alerted us that my daughter was having a seizure and we were able to help her and also later show the neurologist the recording. Unfortunately she has several different types of seizures but everytime she has a seizure she is looking to the right so we know the seizure is starting from the left side of her brain. The picture quality is phenomenal you are able to zoom in and out and all the settings are easy to adjust to what you feel is necessary as far volume, and sensitivity. This camera has given us greater piece of mind when my daughter is sleeping in the crib. We have also traveled with this camera on overnight trips. It is straight forward and simple to set up. And I seriously can't imagine what I would do without this camera! I HIGHLY recommend this camera!!!!!”

“The night vision capability is excellent and sees very well in the dark.However, the motion detection algorithms need significant improvement.Currently, the camera cannot differentiate between a pillowcase flapping from a fan and my child having a medical seizure.Additionally, our dog sleeps in the room, and normal pet movement frequently triggers false alarms.Finally, the included mounting bracket lacks the flexibility needed for proper positioning.I am currently forced to design my own mounting system to get the angle I need.Furthermore, the initial setup process was incredibly frustrating. The website instructions were lacking, and the official YouTube videos were not helpful. I wasted far too much time troubleshooting until I eventually abandoned your materials and used an AI assistant to walk me through the setup step-by-step. Once I used AI, it was fast, but the official setup experience was completely unacceptable. Enhanced AI detection for medical movements, a more adjustable mount, and clearer setup instructions would greatly improve this product.”

“As the mother of a child with uncontrolled seizures, every night is filled with fear. You never truly sleep because you're always wondering, "What if he has a seizure and I don't know?" That fear never leaves you. For years, my son's team of neurologists and neurosurgeons recommended the Sami seizure monitor. I'll be honest—I was skeptical. It was a big investment, and I questioned whether it would really detect my son's seizures. After going back and forth, I finally decided to purchase the complete setup: the Sami monitor, the Sami pillow, and the floor stand. It cost around $1,800, and I prayed it would be worth every penny. Before I even received the equipment, I was blown away by the customer service. Every person I spoke with treated me with kindness and compassion. They patiently answered every question I had, never rushed me off the phone, and truly cared about my son and our family's journey. They didn't make me feel like just another customer—they made me feel understood. Three weeks after setting everything up, Sami proved itself. The iPad alarm sounded, letting me know it had detected movement. I muted the alert and looked at the screen. At first, I honestly thought my son was just moving around in his sleep. Then I noticed the movement being highlighted around his head and shoulders. Something didn't feel right. I ran to his room. My son was having a seizure. Without Sami, I would have never known. I would have continued sleeping, believing everything was okay while my son was actively seizing. That realization hit me harder than words can describe. As a parent of a child with epilepsy, you know that every seizure carries fear. You worry about injuries. You worry about prolonged seizures. You worry about the one seizure that could change everything. Knowing that Sami is watching when my eyes can't gives me something I haven't had in a very long time—peace of mind. No piece of technology can take epilepsy away. It can't stop the seizures. But it can give parents precious time. It can alert us when our children need us most. And sometimes, those few moments can mean everything. To everyone at Sami, thank you. Thank you for creating something that is more than just a monitor. Hi Susan! Thanks for the feedback. In some situations, it may work if your Starlink router includes an Ethernet port, but we can't guarantee compatibility. Based on our experience, it has unfortunately not worked with Starlink reliably, which is why we note on our website that it's not Starlink-compatible. For customers experiencing connectivity challenges with Starlink, we often recommend the Sami Hub. It creates a dedicated network just for your Sami camera, so you don't have to connect the camera directly to your Starlink network! This provides a simple, consistent network for your Sami system, and many families find it makes setup much easier.

“I purchased the SAMi camera package for my great granddaughter who I’ve obtained custody of that has epilepsy. I can now get better sleep, knowing that the alarm will wake me up if she has a seizure during the night. Thank you for allowing me to breath easier and nit have to constantly watch her old monitor after she goes to bed. I can actually do other things around the house.”

“Sami has given me everything that is needed !!!! Sleep, peace of mind, captured video of seizures, capability to share those directly with dr. The help support line is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! They are there for me in seconds and ready to jump on a call or help through troubleshooting via email! I feel like Sami is watching over my son and being my eyes when I need to close mine. I can’t say enough good things about this life saving, life changing monitor♥️♥️ there are also so many foundations out there ready to assist if you need help like we did! As well as payment plans! I highly recommend purchasing the hub with it as well. You will never have to worry about losing connection or having any type of Wi-Fi interferences. It always stays connected, which again gives me more peace of mind.. WE LOVE YOU SAMI !!!!!”
