SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. “We were so excited to get the SAMi but it goes offline all night and disconnects causing alerts all night. I know there is an additional router to purchase but after troubleshooting with our tech guy, nothing else we have hooked up to our wifi cuts out over and over. I wish that if it was a common issue that the monitor automatically came with the router. We had already spent thousands on monitors so now we would have to buy the router for our SAMi to work at all.”

“SAMi is working out for our needs. However, the camera does disconnect here and there. I love the fact it is recording in the background. The features seem to work well, but the controllers look a little old on the app. I would give this a 5-star rating if we could load this on an Android phone or tablet. I don't like that you have to purchase an iPad to just get this to function. I would also rate this higher if you could turn the screen off and still have it monitor. Even when setting the screen to "clock" mode, it still puts off a decent amount of light in a dark room.”

Hi John - thank you so much for your feedback. We're happy to hear that it's working out for your needs. We hear you on the outdated app and it not being Android compatible. We're still a family-owned and operated business so our resources are limited when it comes to doing engineering overhauls like creating a new app. It's something we hope to offer in the new year so please stay tuned on that. In regards to the clock mode being too bright at night, once you are in clock mode you can slide your finger across the screen from right to left to dramatically dim the light on the clock mode so that it doesn't give off light. It should be virtually black when you slide it to the left. I hope that helps!
