“I had gotten the beach towels and gifted them. They used them on a beach vacation and like how they worked in the sand. I then ordered 4 regular towels. No one like them don't absorb water and are very rough. The towels have been washed. This has not helped. Just very disappointed.”
“I've had my eyes on these for a while. I waited until there was a discount code before purchasing. They are much larger than any other bath towels I've owned. They're very absorbent and dry relatively quickly. My only complaint is my jewelry gets caught in the waffle weave, so I already have a bunch of pulls after a few uses. It doesn't affect the quality of the towel, but may explain why these were on sale.”
“This towel is extremely linty: I washed it a couple of times before use, and my dryer is always chock full of red lint, which gets into my other towels too. I also notice red fuzzies in my shower that I have to clean up after I dry off and little fuzzies are all over my body. The most annoying is the armpits, because when I put on deodorant, my stick has red lint on there too.
It doesn't dry well: I thought that maybe after a few times of use, the drying would get better, maybe the fibers had to go through a few washes and use cycles to become more porous or something, but this being like the 6th time I used this towel, it dries like 2/3 of the water a regular towel would sop up.
It's rough: I personally don't wash my towels with fabric softener or anything that would leave the towel with any sort of waxiness on its fibers, to try and give it the most drying power possible when I want to use it, but this towel is by far the roughest feeling towel I have. Now I am not going to say that it is like sandpaper, which is way overkill on the overdramatization, but it is definitely not as soft as even the Walmart towels I got years ago. I know, the department stores carry loads of different brands, so the towels I got could have been great quality towels...I was trying to find towels on a budget, these towels were definitely not great quality towels, they bunch up at the ends because strings get loose and tangled up...they're definitely poor quality towels, but they still feel a little less abrasive than this towel.
TL;DR - This towel is substandard to me for not drying well, leaving loads of lint everywhere, and feeling rough on the skin. It is a towel, and technically does its job, but definitely not worth the money spent...It is big though which is nice.”
“A huge fan of Sandcloud towels. However, this waffle pattern became extremely saturated the instant it touches your skin leaving a cold wet spot as you dry off. Yes, it dries you off well. However, because this particular weave absorbs so quickly, you end up with a damp spot and the rest dry. It gave me chills drying off due to the extreme wet spot being “dragged” across your skin. Switched to a different weave pattern which dispersed the water more evenly along the entire towel versus being saturated at one particular point and was much happier.
Beautiful, big towel. Just caution on the way it dries compared to other towels.”
“I was hopeful these towels would fulfill the promise made in the marketing materials. Unfortunately, these towels do not absorb at all. They just move the water around your body. They also are not soft. The only positive thing I can say is that the color is nice.”
“This towel is beautiful, but it’s rough on the skin and it spreads red cotton dirt everywhere. I honestly will have to donate it. It was not what I was expecting.”
“I am very surprised by how hard and scratchy these towels are. I have followed the care instructions, but today I scratched my eye by using this towel. My skin is raw and painful. They are also coming unraveled.”
“I have bought several different towels from Sand Cloud and when I saw these towels online, I thought they were a nice design, but once I received them, they are nothing but nice looking. The waffle part of the towel is rough, it almost feels like wool scraping across your body and they are not very absorbent. The design of these towels was poorly made, they feel more like a wool blanket than towel. I wouldn’t waste your money on them.”
