“We received the sand and cloud blanket for Christmas that we absolutely adore. So I went online and ordered four more and an accessory. The blanket was shedding quite a bit, the maroon side of it. It’s very deceiving because in the picture it looks like it’s brown, but it’s maroon like a purple he maroon. I decided to wash the blanket to see if it would stop shedding. I washed it on cold delicate. When I took the blankets out they were filled with pills that were attached to the blanket, and impossible to remove, I could no longer use these blankets in my living room because they looked horrible so I did return them”

We're very sorry to hear about the issue with your blanket.
We recommend soaking the blanket in cold water for a few hours or overnight and hang drying it. Natural cotton needs to be "broken in", which allows the fibers to bloom, be softer and reach maximum absorbency with better performance. This will also help remove the excess lint.
Succeeding washes: Gentle cycle on your washing machine and dry at a low heat on the dryer.
IMPORTANT: Avoid fabric softeners and dryer sheets as they gunk up the fibers making them less absorbent. And of course, avoid bleach!
