“I chose this scooter because it is the most popular one worldwide. On receiving it, I could tell it was a high quality commuter transport, and not a kids or adults toy. It has a long range (all scooters have about half their claimed range in real world use). I found it to be better than the Neuron hire scooters that I tried prior to my purchase - smoother and more comfortable, as well as a little more powerful. The fact that I don't need a special power brick to charge it is great because I got a spare cable for $7 that I now keep at the office (not that I need it because the range is more than enough). I am using it to commute to and from work a few days a week, depending on the weather. I did get caught in the rain one time, but the scooter seemed to be completely unaffected and kept working like it was dry weather. There are scooters with fancier features around, but I chose this model because many of those features end up costing in maintenance/problems. The ninebot G30 max is an extremely reliable design and has been proven to work for thousands of km with rarely any issue. Scooter hut had already unpacked and set up the scooter so when I collected it, all I had to do was fold the handlebars and put it in the boot of my small car. This is the other great thing about scooters instead of a bike - you can easily put them in your car and take them somewhere to go scooting. Now I just need to save up to buy some more scooters, because my kids now want to go scooting with me.”

“I had been pondering for some time about whether or not I should invest in an e-scooter ever since I experienced the joy ride from a cousin's e-glide D150 v2. In hindsight the thought process didn't really take much pondering; HOWEVER, which scooter brand & model I should go with whilst working within a $1k budget was the million-dollar question. I initially tried the e-glide G60 & G120 as starters, whilst these seemed to work well within my budget I could feel the difference in power, handling whilst the specs i.e. battery life & range of distance weren't unfortunately what I was ultimately after.
Thinking I would have to go back to the drawing board & explore other options I stumbled upon a re-furbished segway Ninebot model (a few actually) that I could NOT pass on. Riding this bad boy from the shop to work > taking it for a joy ride along south bank's pier > the commute home from work was priceless. I could not wipe the grin off my face as I was taken back to my early childhood days.
For the short time that I've had it, it's been a slice. I'm already looking forward to the small local shop trips & celebrating Australia day without the worries of 'drink & driving'! :)
