Hi Luke, this was an issue with a small number of the Root Lithium completes, and we put in an extra piece of griptape with every order to ensure you can replace the original griptape with another piece should it come loose. Hope you got the spare piece we sent you.

The scoot was easy to finish setting.
The grip on the board was not glued entirely though, and tear apart quite fast: a bit of deception here.
The break was very thigh, so it scraped the rear wheel for about a week and a half. This part is a bit harder to adjust for the user (maybe a lack of competencies from my part...).
But, hey! it is supposed to be "ready to use" since it is a complete scooter model.
Overall, happy with the product 'cause it is light and tough, well balanced and good looking!
