What weather and temperatures did you experience? Down to -5

Are there any developments we could make? One would be to have side pockets on the lowest pockets to put your hands in from the side. You can currently put them in from the top but not the side.

How did you come across Shackleton? Searching websites for the best down jackets. Looked stylish and good reviews

“Really like the jacket. Wear it over the down jacket when cold enough. However can also wear both on their own. Looks smart as well as keeping warm. Looks very stylish.”

What activity did you use the product for? I live in New York City it gets cold here. I'm often out photographing in the coldest of weather.

What weather and temperatures did you experience?

Are there any developments we could make? I miss hand warming pockets. I wear lighter gloves so that i can do more when out (I'm a photographer) but I want to keep my hands in a pocket to warm them when they chill.

How did you come across Shackleton? I found the shop in Covent Garden.

“What I like especially is the attention to detail such as the toggle on the zipper and the fact that you can get your fingers behind the press studs. These things matter in cold weather when you are wearing gloves. It was not quite as warm as I expected when I went out in a polar vortex, it was -20C and a steady wind on the East River. I was fine as I was also wearing a Rothera down jacket underneath and a Shackleton Caird sweater. The upside is that without the Rothera I can wear it when it's not -20 below. Which makes it more generally useful than an expedition parker for us urban dwellers.”

“This is a great length (long mid) coat that repels rain well. If it heavier than I expected; i.e. it is not a rain jacket but a cold weather coat that is very water repellent. One of the best things is the hood, which extends well out in front of the face providing excellent protection from the rain. The only thing that the coat needs is hand pockets. It has two velcro closure pockets high on the chest and two at waist level, also with velcro enclosures, but in cold wet conditions I find myself wanting to slip my hands into hand warmer pockets that could be located under the waist level pockets that have the velcro enclosure flaps.”
