What activity did you use the product for? Nothing too much hence i brought the down jacket
What weather and temperatures did you experience? British winter
What do you like about the product? Pretty much everything
Are there any developments we could make? More colour choice. The hood covers logo on the back

How did you come across Shackleton? In a coat review on a website.
Brought the jacket without knowing much about Shakleton the brand. Priced in the higher end of the market, i expected a quality product. Having owned the jacket for a couple of months now, im not disappointed. The design is bang on. Its a great fit for an athletic build. Its light but warm, the hood is great for blocking wind. I prefer it to my Canada goose down jacket. Overall its worthy of the £500 i paid. A couple of things that would take it from a 4 to a 5 star. The hood covers the distinctive brand logo when it is down. Would be nice to have more choice of colours. Really not great in heavy rain (im aware its are not designed to be) but you get drenched. The free watch cap was a nice touch.

What activity did you use the product for? I wish I could have said yes, but sadly none, unless participating regularly in the annual Round The Island Yacht race counts!
What weather and temperatures did you experience? Only Autumn rain and wind as I have not had the jacket long. Perfect for now and also great to add to my Parka for the really cold weather.
What do you like about the product? Quality, weight, durability, versatility and warmth. Also the ample pockets and style to wear out with Jeans.
Are there any developments we could make? None, only found the storm cuffs strange at first but either tuck them in or over the cuff until the colder weather arrives. Not sure if some sort of zip to hide the hood would be beneficial?

How did you come across Shackleton? When searching for best Parks jacket as was going to go doen the route of Canada Goose but saw everyone had them and wanted something different and better quality. Also the fact Shackleton is British also was nice which oozed great quality and design.
Earlier in the year I purchased the Haakon 3-1 Parka which included the Ross Down Gilet. I was so impressed with the quality, endurance and versatility that I found it hard to resist the Rothera jacket to complete the set. It is surprisingly warm considering how light it is. It has ample pockets and folds into itself within the inside pocket. There are so many nice touches like the fleece lined pockets, ample storage pockets, hood and thumb holed storm cuffs for that additional protection when needed. Aside from the core functionality it also is very stylish.

Delighted with this high quality mid-weight down jacket - extremely high materials and build quality and performs very well in cold weather. Extremely good wind protection.
