How did you come across Shackleton? Instagram I think
I spent a long time looking for a new winter coat. Living in Yorkshire having a son who plays football 3/4 times a week and i also a dog to walk twice a day, a very warm and water repellant winter coat is essential for me. I haven't had extensive expeirence of the jacket, a few outings when it was cold and wet and so far it's impressive. Almost feels too light to be warm, also the Medium is a great fot for me and i'm usually a large.

What activity did you use the product for? General Outdoors / Skiing Apres Ski
What weather and temperatures did you experience?
Are there any developments we could make? Way to hide or better manage the elastic ties at the bottom of the jacket. If you want a snug fit, it means the ends hang at length quite free.

What activity did you use the product for? General walking
What weather and temperatures did you experience? Rain, low temps
Are there any developments we could make? I guess completely waterproof would be good but it's held up in quite heavy rain and wicked it off.

How did you come across Shackleton? I was looking for good quality outdoor equipment
Well constructed, with lasting loft which make a difference if carrying a pack. Large baffles are excellent, better than other jackets I have owned.

Really love this jacket. Was looking for a replacement to a parka that was just too heavy by today’s standards. Incredibly light and super functional. Detachable hood mechanism works well and button/popper design is unusual and also works well. I like pocket symmetry (including internal pockets) which helps those of us who are left handed (small point but quite uncommon and invaluable to those that notice these things). Tight cuff is great as is the overhanging sleeve which allows for gauntlet style gloves to be disguised. If I have a suggestion/criticism, then I have two: 1. The vertical chest zips have started to catch on the internal fabric occasionally which is annoying 2. Although the main pockets are fleece lined, the zip position means that with bare hands the first texture you feel is the zip as you put your hands in. This seems trivial but with cold/chapped hands that’s not ideal. Neither of these are material problems but could be considered in future design iterations. Great jacket. Would buy again.

Great jacket. Thick but lightweight. Allows for easy movement too around the body. If I had one gripe it is a little too tight at the neck when zipped up. if not for that it would have 5 stars, but would still recommend.
