“I’ve followed Shackleton clothing for a while and was in the market for a new down jacket so made the purchase when the sale came around. Very quick delivery and I liked the quality of the packaging. The Halley is indeed as described, ultralight, which made me a little sceptical about its ability to keep the cold out. My first try out however, in winter’s sub zero temperatures, demonstrated how effective it is. So, all round, yes it’s a very warm and comfortable jacket, which I’m really pleased with. My only criticism is that I feel the zip pull is a little bit too small and therefore fiddly… or perhaps it’s just me. Otherwise, it’s a fantastic bit of kit!”
