How did you come across Shackleton? I have known Shackleton and his expedition and was pleased that you starting to produce clothing and accessory's.

“I previously bought a Ros down Gillet in Jan 2023 that had the details of an inside pocket, a stowage pocket, and press studs on the rear so I could secure it to my Vostok Parker or any other jacket with the ALS system. So to put it mildly I was a bit disappointed with my second purchase of the Ros Gillet as this time they were omitted from this model I received as you changed the details without notification. I would like your comments as to why you have changed these details.”

Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry to hear of your disappointment. At the time we reviewed the Ross for AW22, we moved away from the ALS system to allow the mid-layer garments to be more versatile and sit better as standalone products. As part of this, we removed the internal storage pocket to save weight and create a lighter gilet. The AW22 gilet has still been designed to fit comfortably underneath an outer layer and after field testing, we found no issue with functionality or comfort when simply layering the gilet under a parka without anchoring. It has become clear that the internal storage pocket is a desired feature however and we will be bringing this back in AW23. We do try and listen to what our customers want at all times and are very grateful for you taking the time to comment.
