Bruno Clear / Clear / Genius Blue Prescription Reviews

4.3 Rating 3 Reviews
I was wanting clear frames and blue lenses and bought these instead of something similar from a much nigher priced leading brand. I’m glad I found Shaka’s and they had exactly what I wanted at a more affordable price. I’ll be buying from them again!

I lived in Honolulu back in 2014 and I bought a TON (maybe like 12 pairs) of shakas at the time, I wear them constantly. I loved the idea of no medal, I love they don't rust, I love that they are interchangeable although I love solid all one color frames, but still a sweet concept. I went online to replace one of my fav pairs that was stolen unfortunately the light blue color frames have been discontinued. But I bought a couple new pairs anyway, I bought the mid-grade lenses thinking that they would match all the lenses I bought back in Honolulu and apparently the mid-grade lenses that are fairly pricey now are a step below the original product, I was a little bummed to see that. So I bit the bullet so to speak and paid the 80 bucks for the genius lenses, which is literally about as expensive as the Bruno glasses and frames were a few years ago in Honolulu. As much as I love them I don't think I'll be buying anymore, the product is sweet, but Id rather buy a ton of cheaper sunglasses than be stuck with one pair of shades that expensive. The last thing I noticed is some of my lenses for the brunos have recently started to dis-color, I was under the impression they were a better product, there seems to be some unsightly bubbling where the refelectivity of the lenses are losing their coating or something, and if that's what I have to look forward too on all the shakas I won't be buying any more.
