“We love everything about our purchase at Home Depot. The Gazebo went together easily with good instructions. It is well made and has support trusses in all 4 corners. We also purchased the full cover plus the winter cover and Support post as we can get a lot of wet snow here. Finally got some nice weather to enjoy it.”

“It's an expensive telescoping post. But I bought it because I thought it would help me through the winter. It did help me through one winter. However, this winter the second winter I owned the gazebo and the winter cover and the post, it collapsed under the weight of the snow. Completely destroyed.
To properly install this post, screwing in the bottom is required. The adjustment holes are there and you can spin the top post inside the bottom post to find the best hole, but you really need a pair of shims at the bottom to get a snug fit. Once the shims are placed and the post is holding with light pressure, screw the post through the shims into the decking below. All in all a good idea but not sufficient to hold any snow for any length of time. I spent a lot of money on a 10x12 so Jag Ventura and the winter cover and this winter support post. I spent a lot of time putting this up. It was destroyed after only two seasons.”

“I ordered the shelter support from Shelter Logic and it came well packaged and in good shape. It did not come with any instructions, but I figured out how to install the post which was not technical at all. Putting up the post was straight forward. In some regards, it would be nice to have the upper part of the post attached to the shelter roof, but that would entail using a ladder to make the connection which is quite a distance and has potentially hazardous issues of it own. However, the lower end of the post does allow for attachment with screws which should hold the post in place. In the end, the post is sensibly designed, easy to install, and very useful. Already, I have snow on my shelter and I am glad I have the post in place. I highly recommend this post for a shelter.”
